Concrete Polishing for Richmond Hill Dining Rooms, Classrooms and Retail Floors

Where a Richmond Hill building has a sound slab, concrete polishing makes that slab the finished floor. The concrete is ground flat, hardened with a densifier and brought up through finer diamonds to the sheen you pick, from a soft satin to a high gloss. It suits restaurants and bars in the downtown core, stores and showrooms around Langstaff and Bathurst Street, and the schools and community buildings of Oak Ridges and Lake Wilcox.

What you get from polished concrete floors is a single continuous surface that sheds little dust, bounces daylight and lamplight back into the room, and cleans with a dust mop and a damp mop. Quick F/X Epoxy takes this work to buildings throughout Richmond Hill.

Why Choose Polished Concrete Floors

01

Hard-Wearing Surface

Densified, polished concrete stands up to heavy foot traffic, carts and rolling loads, and there is no coating on top that can chip or peel.

02

Easy to Keep Clean

A polished slab is smooth and tight, so a dust mop and a damp mop with a neutral cleaner are usually all it needs.

03

Less Concrete Dust

Densifying hardens the top of the slab, which cuts down the fine dust that bare concrete keeps shedding.

04

Brighter Spaces

The polished surface reflects light, which helps sales floors, showrooms, corridors and warehouse aisles feel brighter.

05

Your Choice of Sheen

Choose how much shine the floor has, from a soft satin to a high gloss, to suit the space and how it is lit.

Choose Your Polished Concrete Finish

A

Class A: Cream Finish

Only the very top of the slab is ground away, about 1/32 to 1/64 inch, so the surface stays mostly cement paste (roughly 85% to 95%) and barely any stone shows. The result is an even, plain colour for clean, contemporary interiors.

B

Class B: Salt and Pepper

Taking off around 1/16 inch reveals the sand and small stones just under the surface, giving the floor a fine, speckled pattern. It is an understated look that works on most commercial floors.

C

Class C: Coarse Aggregate

A deeper grind exposes the larger stones in the slab for a bold, terrazzo-like look. Which stones show depends on the original pour, so every floor is a little different.

Polished Concrete Finishes

Polished Concrete for Richmond Hill Shopping Centres, Dealerships and Healthcare Buildings

Shopping malls, grocery and big-box stores, car dealerships and restaurants use polished concrete to run one hard, bright floor through the whole space. Schools, libraries, community centres, fitness studios and healthcare facilities choose it for a calm, low-dust surface. Distribution and fulfilment space that stays dry suits it too.

There are three finish options, matched to the building: Class A cream for polished showrooms and clinics, Class B salt and pepper for stores and school corridors, and Class C coarse aggregate for the busiest, most industrial rooms.

Not every slab is a candidate. Very soft, heavily damaged or thinly topped concrete and some adhesives can rule polishing out, and the quote says so. Where oil, chemicals or standing water are regular, a coating is the better choice, as in our industrial and commercial floors in Richmond Hill; stores wanting a coated look can see retail floor coatings. We prep the slab first and our own crew does the work.

Why Richmond Hill Owners and Facility Managers Choose Quick F/X Epoxy for Concrete Polishing

Polishing only looks good when the slab has been properly prepared, so we check hardness and moisture, diamond grind and fill cracks and joints first. Jay, our founder, is on the first call, writes the quote and joins you for the final walkthrough, and our own crew does the work rather than subcontractors. You get a straight written quote and dates you have agreed in advance.

I got an estimate on Friday and had a new basement floor by 4pm on Monday. Kuljit and his crew were awesome. Our concrete was Rough, cracks and holes. Now, it’s perfect !! It was also way more affordable than I thought it was going to be.

Outstanding Epoxy Flooring Service! I couldn’t be happier with the results! The team was professional, punctual, and clearly skilled at what they do. They took the time to prepare the surface properly and explained every step of the process. The final epoxy floor looks incredible — smooth, glossy, and durable. It has completely transformed our porch into a clean, modern space. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality really stand out. Everything was completed on schedule and within budget, with zero mess left behind. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for top-quality epoxy flooring and great customer service!

Our Concrete Polishing Process

01

Free Quote for Your Floor

Tell us about the building, the floor area and how it is used, and send a few photos. We tell you whether the slab suits polishing or whether epoxy is the better choice, and come back with a clear quote.

02

Check the Slab

We check the concrete for hardness, cracks, joints and any old adhesive or coating that has to come off, then agree the finish and the timing with you.

03

Diamond Grinding

The slab is ground flat with diamond tooling to the look you chose, from a smooth cream finish to exposed aggregate, and cracks and joints are filled.

04

Densify and Polish

A densifier is worked into the concrete to harden the surface, then the floor is honed and polished through finer diamonds to the sheen agreed for the space.

05

Guard and Walkthrough

A penetrating guard goes on to help the floor resist stains. We walk the finished floor with you and explain the simple cleaning routine that keeps it looking good.

Frequently asked questions

Can a Richmond Hill restaurant or bar get its floor polished without closing for long?
Often, yes. We can work in sections, and the timing is agreed with you beforehand so you know when each area is back in use. Wet cooking lines and grease are better coated, but dining rooms and bar areas suit polishing well.
Long halls and big open rooms are where they do well. The surface is hard, low in dust and easy to keep clean, and the penetrating guard helps resist stains. We check the slab first and say in the quote if it is too soft or too damaged to polish well.
No. Polishing shows the slab as it is, so marks, patches and filled cracks remain visible and add character. We fill cracks and joints so the surface is sound. A perfectly even, uniform look is better done with a coating.
Busy retail and showrooms often go glossier to catch the light, while schools and corridors tend to stay softer and less reflective. Tell us how the space is used when you ask for a quote and we will talk it through.
