Polished Concrete Floors for Burlington Warehouses, Showrooms and Clinics
A polished floor is the concrete itself, ground and finished until it shines. In Burlington that means the warehouses and trade buildings off North Service Road and Mainway, the dealerships and big stores on Dundas Street and Walkers Line, and the clinics, schools and offices along Upper Middle Road and Waterdown Road. Each has a slab already in place, so the work is grinding, densifying and polishing rather than adding a layer on top.
The floor you end up with is hard, bright and low in dust. It is cleaned with a dust mop and a damp mop, and the sheen can be as quiet as satin or as bright as a mirror. Quick F/X Epoxy provides concrete polishing to buildings throughout Burlington with a crew of our own.
Why Choose Polished Concrete Floors
01
Hard-Wearing Surface
Densified, polished concrete stands up to heavy foot traffic, carts and rolling loads, and there is no coating on top that can chip or peel.
02
Easy to Keep Clean
A polished slab is smooth and tight, so a dust mop and a damp mop with a neutral cleaner are usually all it needs.
03
Less Concrete Dust
Densifying hardens the top of the slab, which cuts down the fine dust that bare concrete keeps shedding.
04
Brighter Spaces
The polished surface reflects light, which helps sales floors, showrooms, corridors and warehouse aisles feel brighter.
05
Your Choice of Sheen
Choose how much shine the floor has, from a soft satin to a high gloss, to suit the space and how it is lit.
Choose Your Polished Concrete Finish
A
Class A: Cream Finish
Only the very top of the slab is ground away, about 1/32 to 1/64 inch, so the surface stays mostly cement paste (roughly 85% to 95%) and barely any stone shows. The result is an even, plain colour for clean, contemporary interiors.
B
Class B: Salt and Pepper
Taking off around 1/16 inch reveals the sand and small stones just under the surface, giving the floor a fine, speckled pattern. It is an understated look that works on most commercial floors.
C
Class C: Coarse Aggregate
A deeper grind exposes the larger stones in the slab for a bold, terrazzo-like look. Which stones show depends on the original pour, so every floor is a little different.
Concrete Polishing for Burlington Showrooms, Schools and Distribution Space
Distribution and fulfilment centres, manufacturing plants and warehouses along North Service Road use polished concrete where the floor stays dry, since it gives a bright, hard-wearing slab that carries light well. Schools, clinics, libraries and municipal buildings use it for long, uninterrupted corridors, while dealerships, grocery stores, fitness centres and restaurants on Dundas Street and Walkers Line want an even sheen from wall to wall.
For the finish, pick a sheen from satin to high gloss, with Class A cream for clinics and offices, Class B salt and pepper for stores and restaurants, or Class C coarse aggregate for warehouses and dealership floors. If you want chips set in a binder as a new floor, that is terrazzo.
Polishing does not suit every slab. Where oil, chemicals or standing water are regular, choose epoxy, as on our industrial and commercial floors in Burlington. Quick F/X Epoxy preps the slab before polishing and sends its own crew.
Why Burlington Property Managers Choose Quick F/X Epoxy for Concrete Floor Polishing
The shine comes last. Before it, we test the slab for hardness and moisture, grind it with diamonds and fill cracks and joints, because that is where a polished floor is won or lost. Jay, our founder, takes your first call, writes the quote and does the final walkthrough, and the crew is ours, not subcontracted. You get a clear written quote and a start date set together.
